It’s peak vacation time and as you travel, you may find yourself with the opportunity to try unique food items. Here are some notable eats that we’ve encountered. But we’d love to hear what you’ve come across too! Share them with us on Facebook or email [email protected].

  • Shake n’ Bacon Brew – Everyone loves bacon but what do you think of this combination – beer, vanilla ice cream, bacon infused maple syrup and candied bacon bits? Those are the ingredients of the Shake n’ Bacon Brew, found at the Texas Motor Speedway.
  • Alligator Bites – If you’re visiting Knoebels in Pennsylvania, take time out to taste the award-winning park food. You don’t have to stick with traditional fare. Their international food court serves up deep-fried Alligator Bites. What does it taste like? Most say it tastes like chicken.
  • Frozen Pickle Pops – It’s a frozen refreshment unlike any other you’ve tried. Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana has added Pickle Pops to its menu. Made with frozen pickle juice, it may not be a taste that everyone can appreciate, but it is definitely a unique experience!
  • Ghost Pepper Gummies – Gummies aren’t just sweet or sour anymore. Now, you can try spicy too! Described as both mouth-watering and eye-watering, these Ghost Pepper Gummies combine fruit flavors with the spices of jalapeño, habanero and ghost pepper. They’re popping up in candy shops across the country and online stores too.
  • Garlic Ice Cream – Feeling adventurous? Then you may just want to visit The Stinking Roserestaurant in San Francisco, California. Known for a full menu of garlic-flavored entrees, their famous dessert, Garlic Ice Cream receives rave reviews, being called “to die for.”
