Last Minute Ideas to Make Your July 4th a Hit

4th-July-blog-post

July 4th is just days away, but there’s still time to make those final finishing touches. It doesn’t matter if you’re hosting family in the backyard, operating a stand at a local festival or managing a large venue. From the food to the festivities, here are some suggestions that are easy to incorporate, yet leave a lasting impression.

  • Patriotic Popping – Take popcorn to the next level with Glaze Pop®! Mix cherry and blue raspberry for a sweet red and blue mix. It can be made in just your normal kettle! Or try a corn treat with red and blue sprinkles.
  • Hot Dog Bar – Enjoy an all-American favorite! Along with the ketchup, mustard and relish, break out additional creative toppings to create a hot dog bar. Chili, shredded cheese and onions make a satisfying chili cheese dog. Plus, regional favorites are always a hit!
  • Easy Decoration – Set the mood with a festive party garland that’s easy and affordable to make! Use red, white and blue plastic tablecloths and cut into strips, then tie to a string of lights.
  • Beat the Heat – What’s perfect for a hot summer’s day? Sno-Kones®! Dress them up for the holiday by using cherry and blue raspberry flavors to make them red, white and blue.
  • Something for the Kids – Table cloths can become play areas when you use butcher block paper with red and blue crayons. Kids will love the chance to make a statement with their own artwork.
  • Ice for the Festivities – It’s so simple, but even ice can be used for an added touch of flavor and style. Use cranberry juice, blue Gatorade and clear soda for ice that will bring a smile to your guests’ faces.

What about your suggestions? We’d love to hear them! Share them with us on Facebook or email [email protected].  Gold Medal would like to wish each of you a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!
