Because of an extremely painful, incurable disease he’s never had a real meal. He can only eat sugar, water, and the occasional potato chip. He first used a fork when he was 7-years-old because his mom made him a cake from cotton candy.

Ben was diagnosed at 15 months with eosinophilic gastroenteritis. His body produces too many white blood cells and it attacks his digestive system whenever he eats something beside sugar or water. His mom Cindi remembers Ben constantly screaming in pain for 15 months straight until he was diagnosed.
